Riverside Newcastle

Founded by Aaron Mellor and sitting on the banks of Newcastle’s historic Quayside, Riverside is one of the cities most Iconic buildings. The Venue already has a long heritage of touring bands with artists as diverse as The Coral, Alt J, The Fall, Ben Howard & lots more already taking to its stage. Refurbished for 2014 & taken back to its roots as a celebrated Live Space for Local, National & International touring bands, boasting an L-ACOUSTICS sound system to rival any in the city. 2014 was a huge hit! To mention a few we had Interpol, Brian Jonestown Massacre, Martha Reeves & The Sonics, Royal Blood, Courtney Love, Craig Charles, The Horrors, Augustines, Real Estate, Lisbon, Temples, Watsky, Wheatus, The Orb, Joey Bada$$ and Band of Skulls grace our stage! 2015 has been a year of music legends for Newcastle and the Riverside Stage. Renowned artists such as Lee Scratch Perry, Jimmy Cliff, Steve Harris, Shaun Ryder, Johnny Rotten and much more to hit Newcastle this year! Along with On a weekend the space doubles as a celebrated Club Space for Newcastle’s nightlife till late with an LED Video Wall & two rooms of the cities finest resident DJ’s and the best atmosphere in Newcastle.
