Review of Roni Size x LTJ Bukem

As always, Newcastle delivered the atmosphere in spades. Not at all the music I was expecting from Bukem. Warm up act were pretty hardcore/fast then Bukem and Roni Size did back to back, one on-one off tracks in the same vein with an MC . Didn't recognise a single one of Bukem's tunes and there weren't any of the jazzy, ethereal moments I expected. They engaged with the crowd but neither of them actually spoke. It was really fun - just not an anthem type night.
