Review of HAPPYFACE: HALLOWEEN PARTY FAMILY RAVE - Keele Uni
Have been to all Happyface family rave's and they just get better and better. Having said that I don't know how they would be able to better this one!!! Amazing afternoon. Music excellent. Lots to do for the children and a brilliant atmosphere. Well done to all the organisers can't wait for the next one!!!

I went with two children under 5 years of age. The atmosphere and decor looked great and the music was brilliant but FAR TOO LOUD, it was like being at an adult event not a childrens event!!!! I love old school music but it should have been much quieter for smaller ears. My children had to wear ear defenders at times, luckily i had some with me just incase. The softplay area which was aimed at babies or small toddlers was placed in the LOUD disco/rave room not the quiet bar room, i thought this was very poor planning. It should have been in the quiet bar room off the main disco/rave room. As for food, the quiet bar room served food but my 4 year old had to wait 45 minutes for her pizza, really wish i'd fed the kids at home before i arrived, 45 minutrs is too long to waste sitting waiting around for food at a 2.5 hr event. We were told the event was on 3hrs from 1pm until 4pm but we had to que up outside from 1pm until 1.30pm so we missed the first half an hour which was disappointing, turned into just a 2.5hr event. Overall great music but all of the above would put me off going again. There are some really well organised family friendly events out there aimed at younger children. This is not one of them.

This wasn’t a child focused event as advertised. The music wasnt child focused for a halloween party and the kids couldn’t even get space or dance on the dance floor due to all the dressed up adults who were completely oblivious to little children trying to have fun. It was more like an adult event that you could bring your kids too, we left after less than hour when our little boy who loves a party asked to go home.

Was a little chaotic at times, long time waiting for sweets/treats, Maybe if they were in another room? - possibly more chairs personal opinion - activities were fab for the kids.
We had a great time, really enjoyed it will definitely be back next yr if hopefully your doing it again -

This was a brilliant day out, my 5 year old loved it, everyone dressed up and there were staff members as spooky characters. Music and venue were fab and lots on offer! The 3 hours flew by which is always a good sign. Highly recommended!

This was supposed to be a family rave and we get greeted by Mike Myers who scared my daughter so much she was crying before we even entered. This rave was definitely aimed at older children and adults.
