Review of Boardmasters Festival

This isn't Charlotte doing the review it's her parents. I sent my kids to this thinking they would have a great time but instead they had an hour walk to the campsite as the nearest drop off was the far. Then to find out everyone not just my kids had a infestation problem and not doing anything about ticks and spider infestation in people's tents is disgusting. saying the Vodafone battery packs are unlimited charging and only allow 3 times per person. Is bang out of order then charging my kids again for the chargers even though we had already paid for them. Ripping people off for food and drink. I will not be recommending Boardmasters to anyone. I will tell everyone why. I think Boardmasters needs to seriously think about location and parking for people to be dropped off closer. As lugging camping stuff is not easy. So instead of being smart and put a car park for drop off near the campsite you make the campers carry heavy stuff and hour each way complete dumbass move I can't speak for the music hence 3 stars as the kids are not back yet. I hope at least the music was worth the fortune you charge for such crap disappointing experience. my daughter's 16th birthday present and her first proper festival and she hated it.

- Oversold, sometimes it was too busy to use the facilities which does not scream luxury, one time the line for a shower was 1.5-2 hours long.
- not open 24/7 and this isn't mentioned before purchasing
- people working at club class were lovely and couldn't fault their efforts in a poorly managed and planned facility.

the showers are literally the exact same as the ones that charge you £5 so you basically are paying £70 for a toilet and hairdryers it's mental

The festival itself was brilliant we had a great time. As for the Club Class luxury pass, personally I would definitely go for it again as the other festival toilets on site were pretty grim and queues were quite long sometimes. The Club Class toilets were great, always had toilet roll which was a bonus (only thing I would say, is as they were compost toilets, is that for the ladies convenience, there should really have been a sanitary bin in there of some sort so the wrong things don't get put in to compost toilet!)

The showers were hot, never a real queue when I went, and they were clean. The only thing was that they were TINY so it was quite awkward getting dressed in there before coming out, and trying to keep your clothes and towel dry whilst showering.

I think the hair drying stations/mirrors etc. would have been better placed in the same tent as the showers so you didn't have to walk all the way over to the other corner of the field to dry your hair, and there was plenty of empty space in the shower tent that they could have been put. But to be honest I gave up on my hair by day 2 anyway because of the wind and rain! :-D

But all in, I'm glad we upgraded so we could use these facilities, it made me a lot happier over the course of the few days we were there.

So disappointed would not buy again. I had to walk over 20 minutes as club pass was only available in one place in the festival. Way too busy, queues everywhere, not clean. Not ‘Luxury’ at all!!

I expected more, the showers were too similar to the normal ones except the line was even longer. There was no seating for getting ready and I expected a lot more considering the amount i paid for it. It was not the same as last year and I find it hard to understand why you would down grade a service so much knowing people used it and enjoyed it so much the year before.

Absolute waste of money. Closed early. Everything stopped working. Toilets dirty with no paper.
