Review of Northampton Balloon Festival
We attended early on Sunday afternoon. Having never attended before we did not know what to expect. It was more of a funfair than a balloon festival. We returned in the evening to see the balloons take off but saw only four in the air and a fifth inflating. Sadly no sign of Bertie Basset. We realised that Saturday would have been a better day to attend. Would we go again - yes - but would take a picnic and chairs and on the Saturday. We've been asked to star certain aspects but couldn't give true ratings as we didn't see any live music and there was no atmosphere as no balloons taking off.

Review of Northampton Balloon Festival
The experience was good. But only 10 balloons were set off, could have done with more.
The food was very over priced and disappointing. Also not that great quality and not that large potions.

Review of Northampton Balloon Festival
Supposed to be a hot air balloon festival but no balloons were inflated during the afternoon so didn't see any. Toddlers can't stay there until 9.30pm to see the light show either so quite disappointed

Review of Northampton Balloon Festival
The organisers of the Balloon Festival need to give more consideration to the abysmal car parking situation. It took 2 hours to drive down the **ttering Road to enter the Racehorse Car Parking. Nobody directing the converging traffic which caused four roads of traffic into one lane of traffic. When leaving the show it was like a traffic scrum. Cars crossing fields from all points all pushing to get onto the one road leaving the parking area. Again nobody helping to assist with directing the traffic. It was another 90 minutes of jostling with other vehicles pushing into the moving traffic. Meanwhile cars were seen exiting the field onto the pathways and then onto the road in front of oncoming traffic. How there were not accidents was only because drivers had to remain vigilant whilst at the same time dealing with the frustration of how poorly organised the event had been staffed. The youngsters who were wearing blue shirts who were, we assume, tasked to channel the traffic were out of their depths. They were totally ineffective and were subjected to verbal abuse by frustrated drivers. Anyone attending on Sunday must consider where they park, because the experience we had on Saturday ruined the day. The organisers need to consider their responsibilities towards the public and to the youngsters who were employed @ at the forefront of this disastrously organised event. I have also sent a complaint to the Council as they appear on the literature to be a sponsor of the festival. I received a reply back from them today absolving all responsibility for the organisation, they say they are passing all the above information onto the organisers. I don't expect to hear any more and certainly don't expect to see any improvement in the organisation as it would appear the same thing has happened at previous festivals and nothing has changed. So obviously they are not learning from this observation or they are just ignoring the situation. May be when a fatality occurs or an emergency happens, then something will happen.

Review of Northampton Balloon Festival
Went during the afternoon. And there were no balloons. At a balloon festival. Was told they only come out at night. Food/deink extortionate prices. You do expect to pay more at events but £2.50 for a can of drink was awful

Review of Northampton Balloon Festival
When I bought the tickets it was written there that the festival opens at 10AM. Once getting there staff told us it opens at 12.
The air balloons (the main reason we went there) had flied at 6AM. Not everyone can wait till late evening with small kids for the air balloons show again. So really not worth it!
The prices too high!!!
