Review of Straigthen Out [Stranglers tribute] + The Wire
I saw the Stranglers several times in the Hugh Cornwell years and pretty much gave up after the Raven album. I didn’t have the highest expectations for the tribute gig; tge Stranglers’ music is deceptively more complex than they were given credit for. However… I was absolutely blown away by what an extraordinarily authentic representation Straighten Out gave. Absolutely 5 stars without even needing to think about it. If they come back to The Prince, or anywhere similarly local to me, I would definitely be going.
A tremendous reminder of some great times👍🏼

Review of Straigthen Out [Stranglers tribute] + The Wire
The band were excellent, I would definitely go to see them again but it was a shame how they were practically thrown out by the pub afterwards. Will have to think twice before going to that venue again.

Review of BC Camplight
BC Camplight wanted to visit overlooked towns and a lucky Northampton crowd were treated to a performance of intense emotion with class in abundance.
Black Prince is a fantastic venue and it was an honour to see artist and venue come together to produce magic.

Review of Lizzie & The Banshees + Venus Fly Trap
This the third time I've seen Lizzie & The Banshees and I've seen Venus Fly Trap numerous times. I knew I was in for a good night and they didn't disappoint! Lizzie puts her heart and soul into her performance and the band are excellent. It was great to hear both the hits and some less well-known songs and to have a good dance. The Black Prince is one of my favourite venues as it's possible to get close to the stage without being squashed.

Review of Black Doldrums + Mirna Ray + Tvål + Killer Saucers
Good venue and very reasonable drink prices. Saw most of the bands but sadly had to leave before end of Black Doldrums set to catch the last train home. Black Doldrums were very good for the part of the set I saw and I was quite impressed by Mirna Ray too. You have to see Black Doldrums for that wall of sound and (almost tribal) drumming. Nice people too.
