We have an amazing evening in store you! Come and enjoy a screening of Stephen Spielberg's Raider of the Lost Ark at our Charity Open Air Cinema by the stunning lakes at Winwick Hall, to be followed by a Firework Display to Music by World Champions MLE Pyrotechnics.
The year is 1936. An archeology professor named Indiana Jones is venturing in the jungles of South America searching for a golden statue. Unfortunately, he sets off a deadly trap but miraculously escapes. Then, Jones hears from a museum curator named Marcus Brody about a biblical artifact called The Ark of the Covenant, which can hold the key to human existence. Jones has to venture to vast places such as Nepal and Egypt to find this artifact. However, he will have to fight his enemy Rene Belloq and a band of Nazis in order to reach it.
Bring your picnics, blankets and chairs, enjoy some music before the film and soak up the atmosphere. There will be an opportunity to buy some hot food and have a drink at the Bar.

Car Park:
We have lots of Parking Attendants so please follow their instructions – this is really important from a safety point of view. There will be a section of the Car Park allocated for Blue Badge holders – please follow the instructions of the Parking Attendants.
The Car Park has been set out so if you prefer to watch the film from your car then you can do so. Please note that this event has not been designed as a Drive-In Cinema so the sound will still come from the speakers, not through your car radio.
Seating Area:
This is all on a first come, first served basis. Set up your chairs, tables and picnics, and enjoy the evening!
Smoking/Vaping will not be permitted in the viewing area. You must move away from the seating area should you wish to do so.
Please take additional care by the lake, especially if you have children in your party. The lakes are very deep and paddling / swimming is strictly prohibited.
Children’s Footballs and Games:
We have some additional surprises booked for the evening which will provide some brilliant entertainment for the children. We do ask however, that footballs / rugby balls / frisbees are not thrown or kicked around the event space or near the lakes.
Food & Drink:
You are welcome to bring your own picnics, or purchase food from the variety of catering stands which will be there. We have burgers, crepes, candy floss, donuts, a Bar and Tea/Coffee.
Don’t forget to bring a bin bag with you to take all of your rubbish home. This is incredibly important as we turn the sheep back out the following morning so it is vital that all your rubbish is taken home. Thank you.
What to Wear:
The forecast is looking good! The Met Office is predicting a warm day and 23 degrees, but we would recommend coming prepared for our lovely changeable British weather as there is no covered seating. We also suggest wearing flat sensible shoes as the seating area is all on grass and bring warm jumpers and coats with you as the evenings can be quite cool by the lake.
Dogs:
We politely ask that dogs are not brought to this event. Thank you.
Finally:
This is the final event of the year for our Charity. As well as the Bruce Green Foundation, this event is raising money for Cynthia Spencer Hospice and the Air Ambulance. There will be Raffle tickets on sale, and we have some amazing prizes including bottles of champagne, luxury hampers and many more!
We are incredibly grateful for your support. If we make a mistake, or something's not up to our usual standard - please do let us know and be kind to our helpers on the night, they are all volunteers from the respective charities and we could not run this event without them.
We very much look forward to seeing you, and we hope you have an amazing time!
Very Best Wishe
Bruce Green
