Bishop’s Gardens Open Day – the first of 2014! Discover one of Norwich's hidden secrets with a stroll around the Bishop's Garden The Bishop's Garden is a historic private four acre formal city centre garden which has belonged to the Bishops of Norwich for over 900 years. The Bishop and his wife kindly open their garden for the use of local charities every summer and the Norfolk Community Foundation is delighted to be welcoming visitors to the gardens for the first time this year. The Bishop is a Founder and Joint Patron of the Foundation, a registered charity which awards grants to local community groups and projects in need of funding. There will be refreshments throughout the afternoon, a plant stall, entertainment from community groups and charities supported, and of course plenty of opportunity to explore these stunning gardens, which have many hidden delights for visitors to enjoy.
