“Experimental Post-Rock from God’s womb”, MAGNOLIA are a ridiculously young yet already vital eight piece outfit. They are a supercharged fusion of both new and old. A sonic battleground with jabbing, staccato sax leading the assault on the senses. Debut single 'Television' is out now on Shake! Shake! Records and is a refreshing 5 minutes 39 seconds of schizophrenic imagery combined with a rare inventiveness and imagination—think Black Midi, Maruja and Opus Kink, then add a pinch of early Hawkwind, a dab of King Crimson, and you’ll find a composition that shows startling originality and progressive excitement.
aka Deb Googe, bass player with My Bloody Valentine, Thurston Moore Group and Brix Smith, now tours under the moniker ‘da Googie’. This spellbinding solo performance is a presentation of her first solo recordings. Taking a bass IV, a looper and a pile of FX pedals, Deb Googe / da Googie blends traditional basslines with more abstract noises to make intricate, layered soundscapes.
