Review of Forbidden Forest 2024
I genuinely enjoyed my weekend. There was issues that needed to be sorted. Sound system was awful at times, they had all day to sort the Azteca stage out but instead put down hay 3 hours after it was supposed to open. I donât think dubs even turned up in the end. I would recommend but they need to sort there s**t out.

Review of Forbidden Forest 2024
One of the worst festivals I have ever attended - unsure where to even begin.
Firstly to get into the venue we were made to walk 20 minutes to then reach a halt and be made to huddle together like cattle. We then had to wait over 2 hours like this with no water or toilets available and we had no communication from any staff members about what was going on.
Once we finally got to the entrance of the venue our bags were barely searched at all and our IDs were not checked - anyone could've been underage and anyone could've had something dangerous in their bag.
Then when we got inside the venue there was no signposts or directions to any of the stages which I think should have been put in place due to their being no signal around the forest.
When we finally got to the stage that had the act we wanted to see on we were made aware this was not opening til 6pm (it was supposed to
open at 12pm) and therefore the two acts we were most excited for were cancelled. There was zero communication from any of the staff on-site, on the app, or on any social media platform to make people aware of this so many were angry, upset and disappointed. This was supposedly due to the mud however once this opened at 6pm nothing had been done to the ground to sort this problem and many people were losing shoes, falling over and hurting themselves.
Due to the stage we wanted to go to being shut we had a walk around and tried out all of the stages - all of which were EXTREMELY quiet and EXTREMELY overcrowded. How can you increase the capacity but not expand the stages and add more speakers to cater for this? You should not be able to hear everyone speaking over the music and you should definitely be able to hear it no matter where you are stood. Festivals like Creamfields have speakers across the whole area of the stage so that everyone can listen to and enjoy the music.
It was also posted all over Forbiddens social media that there would be access to free tap water all over the forest - this was clearly not the case as throughout the whole day we only came across 2 water stations which had 3 taps? None of the bars would fill
up water bottles. It was also not signposted anywhere where these were located so many never found them at all. How is this safe enough for 22,000 people?
It is a real shame that so many things were poorly organised/managed as it definitely has real potential. We only attended due to hearing good things from previous years but we left extremely disappointed and definitely will not be attending again.
