Devotees of Nottingham-brewed beer will be heartened to learn that ale is once again flowing out of New Basford. Black Iris Brewery is flourishing in the shadow of the headquarters of James Shipstone & Sons. It's a ten-barrel plant with room for expansion, which should cheer fans who down Black Iris beers at venues such as the Herbert Kilpin, King William IV, Kean's Head, Lincolnshire Poacher and, just a short uphill walk from the brewery, The Lion.
