The National Water Sports Centre is just 10 minutes from the city centre of Nottingham and yet feels a world away.
Despite Nottinghamshire being the most land locked county in England, NWSC boasts some of the best white water and flat water you will find anywhere. If you're looking for fun, challenging and unique experiences and a choice of exciting courses, NWSC is for you. We enjoy the services of sought after professional instructors who combine their experience with excellent customer care. Whether you want to ride the rapids on our 700m purpose built white water course or simply laze away an hour or two boating on our 2km lake, there is an activity to suit you.
NWSC welcomes families, groups, schools, companies and individuals. It is an ideal day out for those who just want to wander our beautiful trails, relax and enjoy the sights and sounds of our nature reserve or simply walk the dog.
From corporate events and conferences to a wide spectrum of water sports we can tailor our strengths to suit your needs. British athletes regularly visit as they build up to national and international events. Our experience of training and elite performance combined with world class facilities explain why the centre was included within London 2012's Pre-Games Training Camp Guides.
Stay for a little bit longer and book your place on our fully facilitated campsite or a room at our hotel. It is a great base from which to explore the surrounding area while remaining close to nature. There are shops, museums, galleries and more in the vibrant centre of Nottingham or you can drive through our gorgeous countryside and get to know local towns and villages. The up-market centre of West Bridgford is close by and has plenty of bars, restaurants and shopping for you to enjoy.
Back at NWSC you can use the gym, try your skill on the adventure assault course or enjoy an experience on the water. It is a wonderful venue for families and we guarantee a fun time for all.
