The set-up was very disappointing.  Chairs weren't staggered, meaning that it was very difficult to see the acts, especially as I'm only 5 feet tall! The sound system was poor, so people at he back, which was a long way from the stage, had difficulty hearing anything.  My suggestions for a top night: stagger the chairs; instead of having a rectangular tent, have a circular one, with chairs in a semi-circle so that people aren't a long way from the stage; provide a screen in case people can't see very well.; provide a better sound system. The gig was cancelled about an hour into it, due to lightning. My husband and I have been given tickets to a show in May instead. Please, please take on board my suggestions. Many thanks

Review of Comedy at Nottingham Castle - Saturday

The event was cancelled half way through the show due to adverse weather. Regardless of the cancellation the show was setup very poorly we could not see the stage from our seats, I have paid less before for a much better experience. We have not yet been contacted about our refund!?

Not sure what is happening as the event was stopped during the second act because of a thunderstorm

Event was rained off and the compere gave no advice on correct procedure to evacuate, timings, apologies, all left in the rain, uncovered area, wet through. Shocking bad all round

The venue was great, with plenty of undercover seats, good choice of food and plenty of staff on the gate and behind the bar. It would have been helpful to know seats were provided beforehand as we weren't sure whether we needed to take our own. Unfortunately the weather was against us and for safety reasons the main event had to be cancelled. I felt it was very well handled and they did the best they could but we were very disappointed to miss Simon Brodkin, who was the main reason we were there.

Due to the weather and the event being in a pop up marquee, it was cancelled. However we've had no refund and no communication as to what's happening next. Shocking!!

Would like to know what happens now with the event being cancelled during the 2nd act because of a storm. Do we get a refund or will the event be rescheduled?

Prices were great and a good venue. Sadly a Biblical Thunder storm came through half way through the show. Being in a metal framed marquee the show was cancelled. 
 Up until that point the show was fabulous. Yet to find out if we will get a new date for a rescheduled show or a refund.

We had a great time last last. All the support acts and Nina Conti were just the fabulous ending to our holiday period.
