The walk through was really good however we did feel a bit rushed half way through as we were told a big group was coming through, so instead of going through a section alone we got told to go all together. I'd go again next year though as for the price of the tick*t I felt it was worth it

The location in the old warehouse was amazing and the actors were great however towards the end it fizzled out and got a little boring! Maybe have rooms with just props in, mannequin, fake body parts etc. Or have an area where it more difficult to walk through like you crouch down or it is tight. It was also expensive for just one maze whereas in other scare mazes you get multiple. I think this maze should continue as it has the potential to be amazing. For the 1st year it was open it was OK!

We booked for 2 o'clock, got there at quarter to 2 and the car park was locked, waited until after 2 and it was still locked. Headed inside regardless to find none of the rides were open and hardly anyone was there. Staff said that someone else had the key to the carpark and they weren't there yet. Although the maze was booked from 2 we had to wait for the actors to get ready still. Eventually car park was opened and I could park without worrying about getting a tick*t or clamped. Finally got to the maze and it was a little disappointing, it seemed as though because it was the earlier time that hardly any of the actors had shown up. The actors that were though was absolutely brilliant. A lot of the maze seemed to be missing actor and was a bit bare bones which was a shame because the maze itself and the story were really good, the props were good and the atmosphere was good.
Again the funfair was still mainly closed when we got out of the maze, still no attendants on the rides or food vans. The toilets were absolutely disgusting, shockingly disgusting. I was disappointed after travelling to Nottingham to visit family and do som**hing fun and this was my experience.
Actors good, everything else bad

Booked the event for 5pm. Arrived and they said it wasn't ready. Place was completed empty. At 5.40pm we said we couldn't wait anymore and left. Haven't gotten a refund and it was £25.

Review of The James Alexander Building @

Review is for Outbreak event in Nottingham.

Went on the 1st November 2024 with family (tickets were booked in my cousin's name).

The mini theme park was derelict, with even staff sneaking off at approximately 9:00pm. Rides and Mini Golf had all shut by the time we finished in the maze. Rides and the Mini Golf cost extra too, with one ride costing £12. Deffo not a cheap night. For my family, it was roughly £150 for a group of 7's entry and access to the maze. I do not think it's worth this money. Perhaps if it was about £10 each, I could accept it.

Also, the toilets were vile. There was no toilet paper, for starters. One had human faeces on the seat, others were being used as dustbins, or covered in sticky residue. There was no hand washing facilities nor any sanitiser. Also, no lighting in the portaloos or around it, so you can't see in there and don't want to put a torch on a surface for fear of it becoming dirty.

I cannot stand scare mazes but went for the benefit of my family. There was no story to the maze other than the idea that there was a Doctor and a single soldier. The soldier just followed the group around and didn't speak whatsoever - I don't really understand what his purpose was. My family members tell me that the Doctor was inspecting people's teeth but I had walked past the actor without even knowing he was the main attraction. Actors weren't particularly scary and mostly just run around and get in your face. There also wasn't many of them either, maybe a group of about 10-15 at best.

They'd partially decorated the building, but I am still unsure what any of it is supposed to mean. For example, there was "R-I-M" written on some sheets at some point? Also there was some tight squeezes through the maze.

At the beginning, we were told we were allowed to film and use torches, but midway through we had actors yelling at us about using torches and insisting we turn them off.

Also, they tend to send you one-by-one. I'm not sure if this was advertised beforehand, but please be aware.

I want to extend my thanks to one actor who comforted my Mum. Midway through the maze, you get stopped, and the actor was asking my family questions about their relation to my Mum (I'd already been sent off, along with my brother). The actor didn't pry when my Mum didn't want to answer one of his questions, but she told me that at the end, she did tell him and he gave her a hug. It meant a lot to my Mum, and it means a lot to us too. So thank you for your kindness.

Overall, I'd rate this event a 2/5.

It was good but £25 for one scare maze was extremely pricey. If rides and golf was included I would be recommending it.

Really fun, but made less so by a group of lads who wouldn't follow instructions from staff. I'd advise going with a larger group so you can just go through with people who know.

The staff were so lovely, friendly and helpful last night - I'm pregnant and was with a group of 4 and I really felt looked after in the spooky house by literally everyone, even saw them console a girl who got really upset at one point. They clearly care about customers well being while still making it enjoyable and definitely jumpy! 😂

It was pretty expensive for what it was. It was basically a ten minute walk in a badly lit room with a couple of poor actors that didn't put a deal of effort in. They also chucked one of my friends out for being intoxicated even though she hadn't been drinking. Considering that this ten minutes cost me over £70 I'd say don't bother. Nothing against Bink's yard as a venue.

The venue is great but for the size of it the maze needs some rethinking. Too much walking around in empty spaces with no actors or props or other things to contribute to the scary atmosphere. The place purely relies on the flashy overhead lights and the spooky soundtrack of screams and shouts. The actors did their best but the place is so open they cannot properly hide to jump at you so you just end up walking to someone who just screams to try and scare you (which is really ineffective when you know this isn't real). For the price we paid it was very disappointing.
