The Spiegel tent itself was fabulous, but unfortunately the cabaret event that I had been looking forward to for weeks, was not. It was a huge disappointment.
I had bought tickets for my sister’s birthday, and she attended with her husband. I was so upset that the show did not deliver what I had hoped.


We arrived promptly for 7.30 pm and found a space to view the show inside the tent. 
First off, we waited for 1 hour,  before any entertainment appeared.
Then the first act was 4 girls and a guy, with a mosquito net over his head and a torch shining on his face. He stood in the background not doing anything, while the girls mimed (very badly) to a song. It was extremely amateurish. 
The next act was a guy who gyrated up and down, and didn’t do much else.
Then next came a woman who did a hoola hoop routine, that anyone who could spin a hoop could do.
There was absolutely no talent shown what so ever. It felt like it was a bunch of inebriated people, messing around and having a laugh.


Then they announced a 15 minute interval, when I felt that we hadn’t seen any entertainment yet! It was at this point that we all decided to leave. We were not the only people in the audience that felt the show was terrible. Apparently it didn't get any better in the second half. 


I have been to cabaret events before, one of which was the best show I had ever seen-’La Soiree’ also hosted at a Spiegel Tent, and I had hoped that last nights event would be of a similar standard. Instead it was the worst show I have ever seen, and I only  witnessed part of it!


It was an insult to offer this sub standard level of ‘entertainment,’ when I’d paid good money to see it.
