Review of Detonate: End Of Term D&B Rave - Friction, Simula, Disrupta
Venue was good, a lot of space I guess they might have undersold which is a shame as it was a really good night. I'm 30 so was in the older lot as it was a Thursday and mostly students but they were not a bad crowd. Good amount of PLUR and friendship.
J-New put on a stonking set (well the 11-12 I caught). Disrupta was a bit grating for my taste but not bad and Friction did a pretty dam goods set. Cracking sound system, very well balanced biggest props to your sound desk, Clear highs Mids and shaking bass. Drinks prices were really pretty good (£5 Tin 6.50 Double Rum and C**e) Only downside was there was no bog roll in the loos, not even holders so had to go ask the attendant which was a bit lame, glad I realized first.
