Review of Live at the Hall with Razorlight
Thoroughly enjoyed the event, the music was fantastic, no isssues getting food or drink or accessing the toilets. Food was expensive imo but plenty of choice. Everything was great until the end. When the last act finished and we started to leave we made our way out of the venue, checked with a steward to ensure we could exit the park using the Derby Road exit as this is where our hotel was and the steward confirmed that yes we could, great. We started on the 20 minute walk across the park, in the dark, to the Derby Road exit where our hotel was located. Arriving at the gate we found it had been padlocked shut. Around 50 people along with us were all now stuck, in the pitch black at a locked gate. Some people decided to climb over the 12ft wall to exit the park, sliding down a lamp post on the other side. Otherwise, like us, we faced the walk back to the main exit of the park (45 minutes!) and then we faced another 45 minute walk to get back to our hotel. Awful organisation to allow people to make that walk knowing the gate was padlocked! Ruined the night.
