india and me: Facilitator development programme

Imagine becoming part of a globally connected group of socially engaged facilitators whose praxis is embedded in our everyday lives and communities. 

“india & me: engage, reflect, and act” provides a safe and brave space to understand:

• how social transformation is an ongoing process in which we are always learning to understand our own implicatedness in the status quo

• and how we can use our distinctive praxis to bring about the social, cultural and political changes we want to see happen.

Briefly, our pedagogic approaches centres the co-construction of knowledge by building on what people already know. People learn by constantly questioning their own world and their everyday and wider histories.

Our facilitator development programme will enable you to facilitate india & me cafes with us and in our communities, and peers worldwide by introducing you to our distinct critical pedagogical approach that includes robust ways to link theory with everyday praxis:

• Sharpening your critical thinking analytical tools for developing a critical consciousness, such as historical thinking, intersectional thinking, discourse analysis and digital literacy.

• Recognising how to counter everyday norms and practices that produce privilege for some/make us complicit in oppression.

• Engaging with a global community focused on reflection and action.
