The James Street Tavern

The James Street Tavern is a great little pub situated a few footsteps off the Cowley Road. Once run by the mayor of Oxford, the pub is a favourite with both students and locals alike. After a major refurbishment in March 2019 it has re-opened as one of Oxford's top venues. Serving up French-style bar food, expertly kept real ales, and a wide selection of lagers and wines. A huge, 100 seat, secret terrace sits at the rear, with beautiful pergolas and heatlamps all around to keep you dry and warm over the winter months. Events cover most days of the week, with live music every Friday and Saturday.
