First time seeing a show of this genre. Very entertaining, well presented and performed. Lovely venue. Lived in Abingdon all my life first time at this location. Beautifully maintained building. The show was excellent from start to finish. Highly recommended, both myself and my wife loved it.

The Unicorn Theatre is a jewel of a space: atmospheric, beautiful; small enough to create a sense of intimacy and big enough for a lively audience vibe. I went to see The Taming of the Choux there, the latest show by local burlesque group Cream Tease of Oxford. It was full of fun, sauce and panache. I adored the compere, Derry, who has an Ivor Novello-like voice and songwriting skill as well as all the jokes to hold the evening together. There were some standout individual performances but I particularly enjoyed the fact that new performers were showcased too in the group numbers. Will definitely be back to see the group in the Summer!

My only criticism would be about the venue. It is absolutely freezing. You should have to wear coats and gloves to watch a show.

This does not however, detract from the Cream teas performers, who are brilliant and highly entertains. Would definitely recommend 5*
