Ettrick Bay ButeFest

Butefest is exceptional - a warm family festival, lots for children to do , good grub (recommend the sausage and chips stall), interesting selection of local brews in the ale tent and a stellar host of artists, the best from Scotland and overseas playing inspiring songs for three solid days. Genres represented: rock, folk, pop and indefinable. Easy to get to - half an hour on the train from Glasgow or 45 minutes drive. You can camp at Ettrick or stay near Rothesay and catch the Butefest shuttle. Four stages - 2 tented and 2 outside. The volunteers and staff on duty are unfailingly hospitable and helpful. Heavenly music in a heavenly location. Go, you won't regret.
