Review of Eriska
Such a great night the band were amazing the banter they have on stage with each other and the audience is fantastic. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the evening. Great seeing young new talent on such a great stage .

Review of Eriska
A very talented group of young musicians who combine folk and jazz themes. However we, and several others we spoke to, felt the music was too repetitious and would have been enhanced by the addition of some vocals. I think they have room to improve and will be interested in seeing them in a couple of years to see how far they have progressed. Definitely a group worth looking out for.

Review of The Spooky Men\'s Chorale
Fantastic night out. First time we've seen the Spooky Men but I'm sure it won't be the last. Extremely talented group, funny, musically extraordinary. Venue is a wonderfully understated place. Food delicious and at a very affordable price.

Review of The Spooky Men\'s Chorale
Despite being a small venue it was easy to find, near the A90 but a world away, felt very rural and peaceful. The barn had been done up nicely. An unexpected bonus was the food, it smelled so good I had to have some veggie chilli (yum). Tap water was freely available which was essential on a warm night. The venue was slightly bigger overall than I thought it would be. However, for such a large 'group' the stage was cramped. My only other minor negative was that the benches looked rather hard to sit on, so I expect a cushion might have been useful (I was seated in the table area). I have watched the Spookies on Youtube, but not seen them live before, it was a cracking evening, just felt very short, though that might be due to enjoying it! They did a mix of fun and more serious numbers, with a good variety of styles. The amusing delivery kept non-serious music people (like me) engaged and able to enjoy the singing talent. A lot of people there seemed to know each other, so it much be a popular 'local' venue (local is a loose term in Scotland, still means you need to drive there). The Spookies mixed with the audience during the interval and Stephen (who is the conductor/group leader) is both funny and a friendly guy. They also got the audience up on stage at the end. I recommend both the venue and the Spookies. The Spooky Men's Chorale are great entertainment for all ages and as they come from Oz do catch them on their UK tours, as they don't happen that often. If they play a festival, catch them there, or (my next hope) is to catch them playing in the wonder acoustics of a church. I also recommend the venue for an intimate friendly place to come.
