Review of Turin Brakes - Invisible Storm Tour
Fantastic gig in a fantastic venue! Lovely place and although it's out of the way that's it's charm. Clean, modern and friendly with great service - long may it continue bringing quality bands to the area.

Review of Turin Brakes - Invisible Storm Tour
I'd only had a brief taste of Turin Break's music prior to the gig but seeing them live revealled they are highly talented musicians and performers. But what stood out for me was their songwriting ability. Every one of the numbers they performed was an example of sophisticated yet accessible composition. I'm looking forward to listening to the bands current studio album and investigating the back-catalogue.
As ever the Arts Club proved the ideal venue, atmospheric and intimate and clearly appreciated by band and audience alike.

Review of Peatbog Faeries
Upbeat 'acid croft' from some real performers, in the intimate and friendly surroundings of a converted cattle barn. Good sound system, a clear view of the stage from pretty much throughout, a reasonable enough bar, and the venue food looked pretty decent (though we didn't partake). Only downside was a higher-than-usual proportion of the audience there for social rather than music reasons, and occasionally some loud chat behind me distracting from the music. A minor point - altogether the band and the venue were superb.
