'Sugar, Gravy, Pleasure' book listening party!

About

This event is a special listening party and discussion centered around the book "Sugar Gravy Pleasure: An indie odyssey in Peterborough" by Pete Elderkin. Taking place on Sunday, May 11th at 7PM in the Met Lounge (59C Bridge Street, Peterborough), this live event will feature Pete Elderkin as MC alongside a panel of special guests including Kev Robinson, Mary Leen Hagger, Scott Pauley, guests from The Pleasureheads, Carla & Elm (Met Lounge DJs) and more, plus Q & A’s.

The evening will include live performances and ‘heated debates’ (remember the Mrs Merton show?) about key songs featured in the book, followed by a Q&A session. Music will be provided by DJ Nathan from Sugar Club/Loaded. This is a unique opportunity for music enthusiasts to experience Peterborough's 1990s and 2000s indie/alternative music scene through both discussion and live DJ tracks.

Tickets are available on Skiddle for £7.50 in advance. Don't miss this celebration of local indie music history and culture!
