Building Community in the Modern World
Live Work Create: Building Community
What is the importance of community - especially in modern times?
Is community an organic development or does it need to be cultivated?
Does the digital world we live in bring us closer together or separate us further?
This panel discussion, moderated by Kally Draycott, will feature Dru Jaeger, Priya Silverstein, and Sally Lofthouse.
Live Work Create is a regular event series hosted by Society1. Each carefully crafted event features a panel discussion around an interesting topic, with our panel participants sharing their thoughts and experiences, to inspire further thought and conversation.
In this discussion, we will consider the importance of community, its impact, and how to successfully nurture a budding community.
We’ll also consider:
• What defines community
• The usefulness and ramifications of the digital world in terms of community
• Building a community from scratch vs developing a pre-formed association
Meet our Panel:
We have an excellent and diverse panel for this event – each participant with a different angle of community building experience – from online to real world, and social to professional.
