St John's Minster

Saint John's Minster is a fine Victorian Church which dominates Church Street from every angle. It has its foundation dating back to Saint Wilfrid. It is a restored space inside, with a large nave and a double choir - in fact the second bank of choir stalls are for the Select Vestry, an ancient tradition dating back to well before the reformation.
