Event Review and Feedback
Positives:
- Venue Size: The new venue at Ardingly was large and spacious, accommodating more attendees which was a much-needed improvement.

Areas for Improvement:
1. Layout of Stalls:
- Visibility and Engagement: At the previous venue, Horsham Rugby Club, vendors had clear visibility of the stage and were more involved in the event. The public could easily locate all the stalls.
- Positioning at Ardingly: Some vendor positions at Ardingly seemed like an afterthought. Vendors were not in optimal positions to engage with the public. Despite advertising my location, some customers couldn't find me. It wasn't clear that there were more stalls unless attendees walked towards the tent camping area on the side that we were positioned.

2. Inclusivity in Stall Positioning:
- Suggestion for Next Year: For future events, consider more inclusive positioning of stalls to ensure all vendors are easily accessible and visible to the public.

3. Weather Contingency Plan:
- Adverse Weather Impact: The weather this year was problematic, leading to a broken gazebo and early pack-up on Saturday evening for us. Strong winds posed a safety risk, with some gazebos taking flight and nearly causing injuries.
- Suggestion for Next Year: Develop a backup plan for adverse weather conditions to prevent damage to equipment and ensure everyones safety.

Conclusion:
Overall, it was an enjoyable weekend at a new venue that holds great potential. With a few adjustments, particularly in stall layout and weather preparedness, the event could be even better. Thanks to the organisers for their hard work, and I look forward to attending again next year.

Really good day out , so friendly bunch of people and the organisation for the traiders is amazing!

The organisers did not take into consideration the extreme weather due for that weekend and left us traders exposed to all the elements where we lost gazebos and trade. It was awful! The band's and bar had the under cover areas and we felt we weren't considered important enough. If next year's event goes ahead there needs to be a LOT more thought about where the traders are put/positioned to allow us maximum opportunity for trade AND safety of our stores/stock/staff etc. They were lucky no-one was seriously injured! We should all have been put under cover with the bar to allow for safe trade and for us to also enjoy the atmosphere and music etc
