Review of SF15 (SPRING-FEST)
Tickets said includes admission to all rides. All the rides were charging £2 or £3. Rooms were overcrowded and we were unable to get in the main room where a lot of the acts were. Unfriendly bouncers and there was an unfriendly atmosphere. Never again!

Review of Yorkshire Cosplay Con 7 - The Magnaificent 7 Convention
Joys, waited in a que for above an hour with an "early bird" ticket, nothing early about the ticket you was still made to wait in a que where you was pushed, shoved and was left waiting as people got fast tracked to the front. Finally got in where Magna Staff were rude and a stall in the aisle made it hard to get in. The main room was really too dark meaning couldn't see stalls or get around well with my sister feeling scared the entire time. Went to look around when the drumming performance (note we only got in when they were pretty much finishing there set) meaning a few stalls we couldn't get to as the stage was in the main room and no space between the stage and stalls. Decided to then go and try and put my sister Link art piece up only struggle to both find the room and be yelled at by Magna staff who told us we couldn't go to the area as no staff was there in the rooms and they were not open... Large amounts of lego displays there which we wasn't also allowed to go near. Frustrated and annoyed we decided that we'd go around again and finally found the organiser who was much more interested in the children's fancy dress contest than anything else. We sat on the ground and saw the first 5 children introduce themselves before deciding to look around and leave.
Now getting out was a real problem, with our group of 4 people we was in the middle of two rows of people getting in as we was trying to get out with the Keith Lemon impersonator, My mom and sister got out before myself and my dad and we only got out of the crush because of the Keith Lemon person. We could then enter the room for the art contest and we entered the room and my sister posted the picture up. No clue what to do as no staff were and a friend of the organiser was there posting 6 pictures of his own art up there so we wrote her name and phone number on the back of her art piece and decided to leave the convention after an hour and half inside where a large amount of people were still trying to get in which included people without tickets and people who had early bird tickets. Overall a waste of time and waste of money. Never again.

Yorkshire cosplay con 7
The queuing system to get in was chaotic, a shambles really. Once inside my 11 year old daughter and her friend loved what was there. The stalls and workshops were excellent. My main complaint is that there were too many people in too small a space. At one point you just had to move in the direction of the crowds inside. I seriously wonder if you breached your fire certificate last Saturday. If a fire had broken out there would have been a seriously dangerous situation both from the fire and from that many people trying to leave all at the same time. For quite a while it felt very unsafe to be in there. The food facilities were not good and were very expensive, £2.50 for a small portion of chips, at one point we waited an hour in the queue for food. Maybe next time have more food stalls outside the main room?

Abysmal!!
Arrived shortly after 12, when we were told the doors would be open. No sign of any staff directing round the car park - that was utterly rammed! Seemed to be a free for all as to where you parked......Queuing in all directions, again no sign of staff to direct you. We queued for an hour and half only to get to the door to find the tickets had sold out! 😞
Didn't help that "normal people" were pushing past us and going straight in as, in their words "we're not with this lot, we can go in"
What a shambles!!
Spent longer queuing (1.5hrs) than actual inside. Overcrowded beyond sense (and possibly safety). Really couldn't enjoy what was a great atmosphere - created by the goodwill of the attendees and not the organisers. Clearly this venue is not suitable for the size of crowd. Went to the Manchester comi-con last year which was much better organised - separate queuing for early bird ticket holders, plenty of space inside so you could actually engage with stall holders and buy something. My son and his friends went with money in their pockets to spend and didn't part with 1p in the venue. I'd recommend people attending a Comi-con but won't attend again at Magna.
