Review of Jamie Duggan The Sound Of Bassline Festival
Honestly just getting so sick of being scammed at every possible opportunity when attending otherwise awesome events! Firstly, and most minor bug bear is that the event was advertised from the launch as 2pm start. Information & emails released the week of the event were still advertising a 2pm start, however, within the FAQs it stated the gates opened at 2.30pm and the doors & music at 3pm... so nothing started at 2pm?! That's really a minor on top of the constant price gouging of these events these days. It's so disappointing to want to support nightlife after the pandemic but feeling like they have no respect for the customers. Being Cashless makes total sense for staffing events like this, but after Covid and everyone being well used to using contactless, still implementing a mandatory drink wristband process is just an opportunity to rinse customers for so much extra money... advance top up vouchers cost £1 more than the stated value, then you pay £1 booking fee to check out. When you get to the venue you have to pay £2 for the privilege of loading the credit onto a compulsory wristband. Then (if after spending £30 on a bottle of wine that could only be compared to vinegar) you happen to have any money left at the end of the event, you are charged again in order to access your own money. But only if you have more than a certain amount left, otherwise kiss it goodbye... and only after you provide more of your personal data to another company! It's just becoming so disappointing!
