Village Records at the Den –
Friday 20th January.
The Den is back for one night only, with a special showcase presented by Village Records, the new Scarborough-based record label! The night will feature 2 Village Records artists and, of course, the famous Den raffle! Since the doors closed on Thursday nights in September last year the demand for its return has been overwhelming.
The first act will be AC3, comprising Adam Carpenter on keys, Rowan Oliver on bass, and Tom Townsend on drums. This funky jazz-based trio are one of the most amazing new bands to have emerged from the local music scene and it is some of the most uplifting original music you will hear.
The second act is the Den’s very own Tom Townsend, performing his own original music, plus a few select covers, with a ridiculously talented quartet of musicians to accompany him. Steve Hanley plays drums, Paul Baxter will be on bass, Adam Carpenter on keys and Rowan Oliver on Percussion.
Entry is £5, doors open at 7:30pm, music starts at 8:30pm.
