Adam Hopper & The Wimps have more hooks than a fisherman's tackle box. Forged in the box room of a Ladybarn terraced house and honed in the pub back rooms and small venues of Manchester and the North of England. Adam Hopper & his Wimps provide anti-folk tinged songwriting, equal parts heartwarming and heartbreaking. During 2024 the band released a string of singles via Sheffield cult label Bingo Records, and are set to release their debut EP in Spring 2025.

With a handful of singles already to his name, Hopper and his Wimps have already garnered acclaim from Glastonbury’s Emerging Talent Competition Longlist, Rough Trade Counter Culture, Radio X (John Kennedy), The Line of Best Fit, When The Horn Blows, Clunk, Blogotheque, Hard of Hearing, Post-Brexit Pop, Wax Music and Backseat Mafia, earning support slots all the while for Jesca Hoop, John Power, The Golden Dregs, The Lounge Society, Mr Ben & the Bens and Langkamer.

Chorley based British Birds is a musical collaboration with a DIY ethic and nostalgic charm, rubber-banding us back to physical music creation which stretches the listeners ear and snaps them back to a familiar reality. This 4 piece dedicate themselves to the whole package, from the artwork, to screen printing merch, to recording, producing and releasing their own craft.

With a debut album and a 6-track EP under their wings, the prolific band will release their second album in May, with a third album already written and demoed! A combination of jangly catchy hooks, lullaby-like melody and sobering melancholy bring timeless psych-rock with hints of Neutral Milk Hotel, The Vaselines and Ty Segall. The band is made up of frontman Bobby Mambo, Bass and backing vox by Ellie Winstanley, Percussion and Backing vox by Emma Townson, and drums by Mike Ainsley.
