LAWI ANYWAR

Born to a Ugandan father and White British mother in Decatur, Georgia, and raised in the South West of England, Lawottim "Lawi" Anywar is a composite of indentities and tastes.

Influenced in equal measure by walls of noise and deep, driving rhythms, Anywar's music trickles, ebbs and flows into a tapestry of shoegaze-tinged art funk: a dynamic fusion of hypnotic shoegaze, psych-funk and indie-rock: FFO Bartees Strange, Blood Orange, Toro Y Moi and Thundercat.


MOUSE TEETH (Full band!)

Mouse Teeth belts and croons spellbinding lyrics over distorted guitars that thrash then drift into celestial swells that backdrop gut-wrenching performance poetry. Recently long listed for the Glastonbury Emerging talent competition 2024, Mouse Teeth is the project of Leicester-born musician and poet Nancy Dawkins. Of her work, Mouse Teeth says “Reviewers often describe my music as “challenging” or “raw”, yet the response I get the most from other women and queer people is of having felt comforted, feeling solidarity; “I think you read my mind” they tell me. She released her debut EP, Ten of Swords, in May to acclaim from publications such as Far Out and DIY.

An alternative bedroom artist with genre blending ideas. From pop punk, quirky ballads to dark grunge and melancholy nu metal. Cleaver Blue finds inspiration from artists such as Jeff Buckley, Deftones and Alex G. Playing with a full band he’s not to be missed!
