Review of The Southmartins live
Excellent night, my first viewing of the band as I’d bought tickets for the Mrs who’d been following the singers live streams during lockdown. Excellently performed high energy non stop show, an hour and 45 minutes straight through !
Venue was great, door staff and bar staff efficient and friendly.
Ticket price worth every penny.

Review of The UB40 experience Xmas party
Absolute disgrace
Was denied entry because I was told that nobody could go in after 21.00
Nobody or nothing was in the Skiddle unless you went to the help section or info
It was not anywhere to be seen while purchasing tickets
The security then let a group of young couples go in after myself
Not wanting to appear like I’m saying I need special treatment but I’m past my 50s and disabled
Travel is awkward and because of the virus it’s hard to get buses and taxis
The security who work for IPM or thats the name of the company I was given didn’t even wait for me to get out of sight before they let the younger ones in
I was on my own
They then took money off people to let them get in after nine o clock which they put in their pocket plus their wage must have been a good nights pay they got
Other people then came out into the foxwood
All complaining to the manager that it was over it’s capacity in the event
They couldn’t get served at the bar
Couldn’t get to use the toilets
No seating was available as they had moved the tables and chairs to cram as many in as possible
The amount of complaints were unbelievable
So many angry people
So many people that paid for tickets to be charged to get into the event by security lining their own pockets
Bar staff not turning in and being rude
The sound guy from the UB40 gig was the only decent person who apologised and was actually bothered about the scam and disgusting treatment I myself received plus the other poor people
He said he was going to tell the events manager
I will never buy anything from Skiddle again
And I will never step foot in the Embassy again
After the appalling treatment I’d received
I bought the tickets for a very dearly loved friend of mine as she loves UB40
She unfortunately then was poorly and couldn’t go
I tried to cancel and get a refund
I was told I couldn’t be refunded !!!
Even though I’d paid extra money so I was covered to get refunded due to my health and condition suffering angina and too many conditions to write
I went to the event on my own risking being poorly on my own plus I faint and suffer in agony with pain
I walk with crutches
I was not advised that the Embassy doesn’t cater for the disabled at any time
I’ve made an official complaint to the manager at the
Embassy and I will also be making an official complaint to the security firm
I would also like to make a complaint to Skiddle
I’ve sent a message to the customer service and have been ignored
I wouldn’t rate you 1 star
Everything except the kind sound man gets 0
ZERO
