Review of Peddler Warehouse Presents: Nubiyan Twist + Franz Von & La Rumba
The bands were OK. Main act Nubiyan Twist would have been much better had the sound quality been at least good - as it was the sound was terrible . The venue is a converted old, echoey, industrial warehouse - and that's how it sounded. Shame for the bands and the audience - they deserved better. I gave Nubiyan Twist the benefit of 4 tunes to see if the sound would improve. It didn't. Left feeling disappointed with the venue. I've heard Nubiyan Twist before and they sounded a lot better that last night.

All good, fun night out. Beer, food and music all good. The sound quality could have been quite a lot better, not sure what the problem was there - it was better at the front near the stage but very muffled sounding at the back. Recommend - good event space

Unfortunately the sound in Nubyan twist was not very good. The singer was drowned out by the backing music.

Review of Ibiza Classics Live Orchestra In Sheffield
The sound was heavily distorted (I'm not complaining about volume, I'm complaining about distortion), made worse by the poor acoustics of the space. Musically, we expected the brass and strings of the orchestra to take centre stage (it was supposed to be an orchestra), but everything was dominated by a karaoke style backing track with distorted singing over the top. Much of the music was pop dance songs rather than Ibiza classics. The venue is a dirty old warehouse with queues for the bar and toilet (of which there are not nearly enough). Witnessed a fight between two women, which didn't make for a good atmosphere. Although I'm not surprised everyone was an edge with the sound being so distorted. The event felt like a rip off given how poorly it was delivered. To be fair lots of people did seem to be enjoying themselves, probably because they were totally wasted. We'd had enough by the time the band were halfway through their second set and left.
