The Anglers Rest

Situated in the heart of Bamford, at the heart of the beautiful Peak District National Park, the Anglers Rest provides a warm welcome to all, serving real ales, good quality wines and home cooked food. Alongside all the things you would expect from a good pub, the Anglers Rest is also a unique and special place as it is jointly owned by over 300 people from the local area and is the first community owned pub in Derbyshire. The Anglers Rest now offers a full range of additional services to locals and visitors alike. The Rest Cafe opened in December 2013, and in January 2014 the local Post Office moved in too. The Rest Bistro opened in March 2014, and there are plans to develop both bunk-house and bed and breakfast accommodation during the next twelve months.
