Review of The Skegness Reggae & Ska Festival 2024
My first time attending, very pleasantly pleased with layout, accessibility, bar & food prices, great food court, within very short walking distance to town, met lots of great people all sharing the same love for ska & reggae music. Very friendly atmosphere and above all, the bands were great and the music was flowing. Looking forward already to next year. My only slight adverse comment might be the lack of sufficient bins for rubbish and while the majority of cans and cups etc were cleared away after each night's close of play, there was still a lot of pieces of rubbish lying around the grounds and beside/under bushes etc. It still looked a bit messy. Overall though, a great event. Oh, and maybe a bigger number of 3xl official merch tees would have helped too - all sold out by the Friday evening.

The atmosphere is amazing, the music is a good mix of live acts however some of the music gets a little samey after 3 days . Maybe a little more reggae that's not what is listened to commercially.
The price for the event is amazing however , one food stall in particular was far too expensive.
Last year there were more Caribbean food stalls so a better choice, I do like the fact there were other choices though.
On the whole a great weekend .

Too many people smoking drugs around children. not enough bar staff. Toilets disgusting. had a weekend ticket but on went for an hour the Friday not the saturday.tried the nightclub as advertised as free entry with wristbands.no one paid with or without wristband.false advertising. Watched the band which was good but then the DJ played YMCA and other non related to ska or reggae music. But was advertised as an after party of ska and reggae music . Never again

My only issue was that I couldn't get a glass of wine.. I don't drink other alcoholic drinks. Otherwise we had a great experience and thoroughly enjoyed our time at the event

Review of The Skegness Reggae & Ska Festival 2024
The atmosphere here was amazing. Nobody having fights, everyone was on a vibe. I was there mainly for the reggae and that didn't disappoint, some of the ska music wasn't to my tasting but still enjoyed the beat. Did wish the area was a little bigger but it didn't get too overcrowded so that was great for my anxiety. You were checked before hand and could come and go as you please, which I liked as the prices of drinks was quite high. Like £4 for a can of red stripe, so instead we left, brought some drinks from local shops, drank it on the way back and outside and then went into to enjoy the music. We Brought 4 drinks in there. The queues are rather long but that's expected. The toilets had plenty of toilet roll and never had to queue for the toilet. All in all a fantastic weekend and what's more to love than a nice short walk to the beach after. Will definitely be returning next year.
