Review of Boogie Bingo Live! - Movie Musicals - Southampton 23/9/23

The actual bingo and event was good fun, however the venue was not so great. They accepted us paying full price without informing us that due to paying for the event the bingo is discounted. We found this out after and had to get a refund. We also had this when we attended a previous event and due to only finding out at last nights event, 10 of our group paid full price for the bingo as well as paying for the previous event. I feel at the till, they need to ask if you've paid for the event to inform you if you are entitled to discounted bingo. I feel mislead and out of pocket. Also, the queue for drinks/food and the bingo is very slow. They need more staff at the busy times. Last night our group of 12 had a meal at a restaurant before we came as at the previous event they ran out of food and only 2 of our group got to eat. This led to a very hungry and drunk group of people. I feel that the venue knows how many tickets are sold for an event, so should plan accordingly.

Not happy as some people paid for tickets and some people just came for bingo but was aloud to stay for the event witch is wrong as we had to pay for tickets

I didn't actually make it to the evening but friends did and left almost straight away. Apparently the drinks were overly expensive, you had to go in and come back out mid way and the staff said they were under staffed. We got bogof tickets and still had to pay £11 each yet nearer to the date they were even cheaper.

Had a great eve!
The entertainers were good but didn’t seem very happy, more board with the same old routine they were having to do, over & over again & again!

Absolutely loved James as a host. Was great fun to play. Didn't like the attitude of the other bloke that did the singing, very rude with no sense of humour.

The bar was incredibly slow , the lady behind the bar however deserved a medal as was on her own.
The main event goes on an bit too long with the constant interruptions room the entertainment host.... I understand that's why it's different to standard bingo but maybe have a shorter bingo seat and a bit more of a different game .. the music bingo was good.

Was a good night but very disappointed to find out that we paid £22 each for our tickets and friends who also went got them buy one get one free!
Next time would wait til that happened and purchase like that …
The venue needed more bar staff as huge queues for drinks which meant missing bingo games whilst wueueing

Positive- Great fun. Lots of entertainment from the events team. Good music and dancing, plus the bingo! A fab night had by all.
Negative - slow bar service with very long queues, food order’s stopped by early evening. Tricky when you have arrived early and not eaten dinner beforehand.

It was a really really fun night however the Venue were completely unprepared for how busy this event would be !
There was a 2hr wait on food before they then had to start refunding orders as couldn’t fulfil them, when doors open at 5pm a lot of people would want to eat - our group included but couldn’t!which meant us having to run out to Sainsbury's to get a meal deal - which weren’t allowed to take in , therefore missing some of the bingo pages!
The bar queue was also terrible meaning again lots of people missed the first few pages of bingo , and when you’ve paid to play bingo this isn’t great!
The queue was even long in the breaks, so 15min break between games meant that you weren’t back from the bar!
The entertainment were really really good and had loads of people up dancing , how ever left the lights on high which was just weird!!!

The bingo sessions were a lot of fun. Could have done with a bit more music bingo and a bit less live singing

Terribly overpriced evening. Poor entertainment. Only one round of bingo for the main event which was a musical bingo. Felt like a kids disco!

Absolutely awful event. Not sure what we paid for. Someone sang a few grease songs and then there was 1 game of musical bingo. Awful presenter who at one point said ‘I get paid regardless of you having a good time’. Left event early.
