Stand Up in the Basement - Southampton Comedy Night
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
Get ready for a comedy experience like no other! Situated in the heart of Southampton, Stand Up in the Basement is the ultimate destination for laughter, camaraderie, and unforgettable performances.
From rising newcomers to seasoned veterans, our stage hosts the best and brightest talents in the comedy scene. Established in 2017, we’ve had an array of comedy names, including Taskmaster and Britain’s Got Talent contestants, stars from Ricky Gervais’ ‘Derek’, and big screen names like Dave Johns ('Fishermen’s Friends', 'I, Daniel Blake') and Brett Goldstein ('Ted Lasso'). In addition, we've welcomed numerous comedians from popular panel shows like Mock the Week, 8 Out of 10 Cats, and Would I Lie to You?, as well as a plethora of guests from BBC’s legendary 'Live at the Apollo’.
Join the excitement at Stand Up in the Basement and experience the magic of live comedy in a relaxed and intimate setting... Who knows? You might just discover your new favourite comedy star before they become a household name!
This is an extended Halloween special show, shaking up our usual format. Instead of the typical opener and two middle acts, our (not) secret (anymore) guest –Jeff Innocent– will take the stage as part of the middle and headline. With support from the fantastically bonkers Joey Page!
