Such a fun festival! Small venue but a dedicated crowd of chefs, butchers, meat experts, grillmasters and manufacturers. A great line-up with a mix of fun challenges and more serious presenters, and a real blast to have the opportunity to meet and greet some of the well-recognised names in the industry. Because it's a smaller festival site it's much more intimate and personal, so got chatting with some of the organisers and presenters demo-ing. Lots of manufacturers there so if you're thinking of upgrading your outdoor cooking kit then it's great to be able to see equipment in use, as well as taste the results. It's actually a bit of a bargain as far as the ticket price goes, practically every stand was grilling something most of the day and handing out what they'd cooked! I've never eaten so much deliciously tender, seasoned and tasty meat at a venue before without having to pay through the nose for it. Will most definitely book next year! p.s. don't bother bring your vegetarian or vegan friend, this is a meat-eaters only event!!!
