Chalkwell Park is 27 hectares of beautiful Victorian municipal public park, boasting ornamental rose gardens, colourful bedding displays, a pond, tennis, cricket, basketball and skate park games areas and large green spaces for cricket, football and just hanging out. It overlooks and has stunning views of the Thames Estuary and is home all year round to arts organisation, Metal and Metal Art School. Well loved by Southend's residents and visitors all year round - the park comes into its own on Village Green festival day, welcoming around 20,000 visitors.
