Review of Outdoor Funk & Soul Festival comes to Southport!
The idea is fantastic, BUT the weather was awful, it effected attendance. There was one disco tent, fab music but open all sides!!! Why not close one half it was FREEZING hence hardly anyone in there!!! The main stage was great until the heavens opened.. it really needs more cover, think about the weather.. Going to the save the rave later, its still bloody windy but at least the sun is out..

There was no information at all about what to expect at the venue, who was playing in each area, timings etc. no information about what we could/couldn't bring into the venue. VIP area was a bit lacklustre given the price was almost double general admission. Searches were a bit haphazard and inconsistent- people bringing in full bottles of drink but a 5ml perfume tester was confiscated.So all of that gets a thumbs down from me. Fortunately the bar and security staff were friendly and the music was great.

Venue and music excellent.
Paid a fair price for tickets but weather was poor and not enough people to create a good atmosphere. Saying that I enjoyed and would definitely attend again .

Cheap entry tickets. However food and drinks overpriced.
Unfortunately, weather damped the night. But didn't stop the dancing. Would have been good to know what time DJs coming on stage

unfortunately there weren't enough people to create a good atmosphere. There's was no glitter or confetti stands just a couple of stands selling cheap rubbish. lots of people had been trying to sell tickets on Facebook. its a shame but needed more people.
