Review of Heather Small Live in St Albans Cathedral
One of the most terrible things I've ever attended! The organisers did heather small dirty. Ticket price extortionate for the amateur event we attended. The whole point of a concert in a beautiful venue like St Albans cathedral would be for the sound. However the idiots running the bar (I say bar, it was actually giving school disco with warm bottles of pop, cheap beer and crap wine sitting on tables) spent the whole show packing up and loudly moving all the stock out the venue via a huge open door right in the middle of the venue. So not only was everyone freezing cold, everyone also couldn't hear properly due to the staff shouting at each other, using barrows and trolleys back and forth out the wide open doors. On top of that security girls having a long chit chat at the top of their voices right next to the freezing crowd. Just when heather was having a nice quiet vocal moment a steel rod holding the doors open fell down and made a huge echoed racket. It was at this point we left. Dreadful.
Also the waiting around! Support act 7.30-8 then a whole hour stood in a cathedral school disco vibe waiting for heather. Who came on late. So an hour and 15 in which the atmosphere steadily died a death.
All this for £56 per person! Absolutely robbed blind.
Shambles.

Review of Heather Small Live in St Albans Cathedral
The gig was sold as "jazz funk music from 7.30pm" - where was the jazz funk music? The support act couldn't be heard, poor lad was doing his best but it was very droll and just too quiet.
The Sound was dreadful, we were in the front third of the audience and could hear all the chatter around us, over the singing. Heather Smalls voice was barely audible and that was such a shame.
Really disappointed, I've seen her before and she was amazing.
Little gripes with things like the bar as well - described as a "full bar" and again, that's simply untrue.

Review of Heather Small Live in St Albans Cathedral
It was good but a long wait for Heather to come into the stage. Would have been good if she did an encore just felt a bit rushed. Also 25 pounds for a bottle of wine when a lot of people only wanted a glass!

Review of Heather Small Live in St Albans Cathedral
Amazing venue, sound system wasn't great and struggled to hear clearly. She didn't play for long which was disappointing. But you're here for a good time, not a long time. Memories last. One off the bucket list.

Review of Heather Small Live in St Albans Cathedral
Such a shame that this event was so protracted. A very long wait between acts and then Heather Small barely on stage for 45 minutes. No encore either. Too expensive for the amount of entertainment. Too long standing around waiting then late on stage too.
