Review of Club Tropicana 80\'s Halloween Special

I was really looking forward to this event but was disappointed that there was only 1 DJ. I couldn't attend the last Club Tropicano event but my friends did and said they had 3 DJ s on last time. I took my bank card out instead of cash only to find that the venue had decided that night to have a minimum spend of £10 per purchase. I was wirh my friend and we only wanted half a pint of lager each but I ended up spending 18 quid on a bottle of wine. We couldn't even get c**ktails that were on offer as they were 2 for £8.95. Pitchers were £11.95 each but I don't like yo drink these ad I'd rather have my beer served individually. I did have a word with the manager of the venue who couldn't explain their pricing policy but he did ask the owner to speak to me who explained that they don't make enough profits from their drinks sales. I pointed out that all of their customers were feeling the pinch too with the cost of living and I felt its unfair. The venue emptied a lot earlier than I thought it would but I'm not surprised when people were restricted in what they were buying from their bar with this ridiculous price policy on bank cards.

Great night. Top quality band at an amazing price, venue has pub prices and a quality sound system. Highly recommended

When we went in, there were other events booked at the same time, we got there early to get a good seat to be told that all the tables had been reserved for the hen part,a birthday. It then said starts at 8pm it started at 9 30 then it was till 1am they finished at 11.30, after all that they were brilliant and we had a good night, just need to be more organised.

Electromantics were excellent!
The music and atmosphere were fantastic. Had a brilliant evening. The only thing that tarnished it was the ladies toilets. The smell was absolutely fowl!!! Would put me off visiting again if it wasn’t rectified.
