Fantastic 3 days, great music, fantastic friendly atmosphere. Prices a bit dearer but fair for festival. Very Family friendly with a focus on the older ones of us (over 45's lets say, and a bit more ;-)
We will definitely be back next year.

First of al I’d like to say how fantastic this was, to pull this off all things considered was brilliant.
The acts were top class, staff were friendly and the atmosphere amazing.
2 complaints - and they are big ones, firstly there were only 2 people issuing wristbands and the queues were ridiculous, I don’t see why the gates were open so late, had they allowed campers to arrive in the morning the arrivals would have been staggered but instead thousands of people turned up at once, as a results hundreds of us missed the opening act who were one of the best acts and they played to an empty field, not acceptable.
Secondly this was sold as being reasonably priced food and drink, this was a lie, it was £6.50 for half a cup of wine, a small measure that would be half that in a pub, and more than a whole bottle in supermarkets, a bottle was a whopping £25, for a bottle that would cost £5 in a supermarket, or around £12 in a pub. There’s no way we could afford those prices on top of tickets food etc, so ended up going back to the campsite to have a few drinks between acts and taking our own water in, the only permitted drink. I have made a complaint to trading standards in as this was miss advertised, 5 times what it costs in a supermarket and more than double pub prices isn’t reasonable at all, and a shame as both missed out, we couldn’t sit and enjoy a drink in there, and you missed out as we spent our drink budget in the co op down the road. I expected to pay a bit more than pub prices, but more than double? I can’t see any justification for that, it’s ripping people off who have also had a tough time financially.

All great ... only downside is the medical checks for proof of 2 vaccines or recent negative tests. When I entered the contracted staff asking for my proof ... i showed them the QR code on my mobile and they said fine and let me enter to go on to the ticketing validation desks to collect my wrist band. The medical check guy never looked at my name, the date of the proof of vaccination and when it expired so I could have showed him any old faked QR code. FYI it was a bright sunny day so he could not have seen the screen on my phone properly ... and it was mid Saturday afternoon with people only arriving in dribs and drabs ie. no rush and no long queues at all. This did not give me any comfort that others allowed in were actually accurately checked for Covid medical proof.

Toilets were awful and the staff didn't seem to care. I went on the Sunday and it was as if they had never been cleaned all weekend. There were very little choice of food and stalls. It seemed so disorganised with getting checked in, badly signposted and overall poorly run.
If you want to do this again next year it needs to be organised better and run by people who actually appear to be interested in doing their jobs.

Fabulous SKA and Northern soul festival.
I have few gripes about the weekend, but here they are :
Camping field ....stubble poked through the groundsheet.....will be aware of this next time and take precautions.
Not many stalls.....however I'm guessing that's covid related....many stallholders may have gone out of business, and lots of events all vying for the same traders.
One band had to cancel.....not sure the act that covered was the right one for the job.....would have been good to show an old gig of the planned band. But I understand there could be reasons why a particular choice was made.
On the plus side,.....Security were polite every time I saw them.
........................................The toilets were regularly cleaned.
........................................Beer tents were not ridiculously priced.
........................................Selection of food traders was fine. Though few in number.
........................................Friendly crowd.
