Review of A Nightmare at The Priory
For som**hing that advertised itself as the UKs scariest maze, it would have been nice if they had tried to be scary!
The story idea was good, and the priory was a great venue option but it was very rushed. Each 'room' was just a person wailing the same script and yelling get out at the end, and it could have all built up to someone controlling the nightmare, but instead ended on an entirely different vibe.
Outside of that, the axe throwing was closed, the bar was limited on drinks, the marshmallow firepits were mostly not alight, and the food options were... Questionable. For a location that has a great food scene, why did they get a gyros place which boiled chunks of meat!?

Review of A Nightmare at The Priory
We went to the Nightmare at the priory event on Friday 25th, our tick*ts were for the 7:30pm session. The maze itself wasn't scary, it was more London dungeon vibes but on a budget. Seemed lazy and rushed, we got through after about 20/25 minutes. After that you end in the field outside area, this was by far the most disappointing part. There was about 30 people in a field with absolutely no atmosphere. The live singing was more scary than the maze, the food vans were all over priced with very average food (DO NOT GET GYROS!) The axe throwing and mini golf were both shut for some reason, no staff around to ask. All in all I feel like I was completely ripped off. Spent £27pp on tick*ts then spent another £42 of bad food and beer I've never heard of, honestly don't waste your money there are multiple scare events that beat this one, this is an extremely lazy attempt at making money from Halloween fans. I will be trying to get money back from the tick*t costs for false advertising.

Review of A Nightmare at The Priory
The maze took about 15 mins to get around I wouldnât say itâs a scare maze i would say itâs a Halloween experience like the London dungeons the acting was good but would expect more for a scare maze as it wasnât scary at all. Also annoyed that the axe throwing wasnât open or mini golf and the gyros we had was used with chicken breasts which werenât even cut up and so dry so had to throw the food so didnât enjoy it much at all.

Fantastic Event and everyone that is running the event is fantastic as well! Don't listen to the bad reviews! As gamers my sister and I loved this event! It is like an immersive scare story experience that is interactive and fun! We definitely recommend this event and the actors are 10000/10 never break character and scare you haha!

Review of A Nightmare at The Priory
Took my teen and her friends on the Thursday evening. The actors were great, never broke character, lots of interaction and enough jump scares to keep you on your toes. Sets were great, lots of attention to detail, just the right side of atmospheric not slipping into cheesy. The area after is a good size but wasn't very busy, probably due to being mid week and the prices for food and drinks quite high, we did pumpkin carving and stayed for the singer who was on. Great for anyone too old for trick or treating but looking to get together to do som**hing to mark halloween.

Review of Hitchin Priory
Please don’t waste your money on the Nightmare at the priory…it was the worst scare maze ever. Cost nearly £60 for 2 and it was barely 20 minutes, not scary at all.
Atmosphere outside was terrible, food etc very expensive. Total false advertising and very disappointing

Review of A Nightmare at The Priory
I've both acted and attended at the Horror at Hinchinbrooke House event in the past but this year with a group of friends decided to try The Priory event as an alternative. The acting and setting were superb and I really liked the continuation of the associated storyline rather than the continuous amount of jump scares one after another. Wished it could have been longer but it's early days. Well done everyone, well see you next year.
