Stockport Music Story Plaque Unveiling for the Manor Lounge club
We are delighted to announce that we will be installing a Stockport Music Story commemorative plaque in honour of the much celebrated Manor Lounge club.
The Manor Lounge was the place to be in the mid 1960's where all the stars of the day performed in the basement of The Wellington Picture House.
If you have a special place in your heart for the Manor Lounge, we'd love you to join us for the unveiling of our commemorative plaque.
We will meet at midday outside the building at 289 Wellington Road South (Stockport Carpet Centre).
After the unveiling we'll be heading over to The Blossoms pub for a social gathering in the upstairs room. The Tall Faces will be performing two 45 minute sets of '60's numbers at 1pm and 2pm.
The event is free and we'd love you to spread the word with fellow Manor Lounge attendees. Please feel free to bring along any memorabilia that you'd like to share.
Our thanks to Pam Howes for all her help and support. Pam is an inspiration and has kept the interest in the Manor Lounge club going for many years including organising the famous reunions.
We look forward to meeting you all and hearing your treasured memories.
Our grateful thanks to the UK Shared Prosperity Fund for making the production of these commemorative plaques possible. #ukspf
