Really loved seeing Carl Chinn, he has wealth of knowledge about our history and he made it so interesting.
A lovely friendly guy made us feel like he had known us for years, yet this was the first time we had met. Definitely would like to see him back at The Roadhouse again 10/10

It was a very entertaining evening with a very knowledgeable Carl Chinn. Thorough enjoyed it, in particular the Q&A session at the end. Venue was perfect.

Carl Chinn is excellent he knows his stuff and puts it across really well. Venue was good chairs were comfy just found the background music before and in the interval a bit loud. Overall an enjoyable evening

A truly informative evening - Professor Chinn makes you feel as if you’re talking to a mate. The time flew by - with the TV fiction, reality from old newspapers and police files along with his own personal experiences being woven into a tapestry.

Great evening would love more talks on any subject at this venue and afternoon ones would be good. Also things like 1940-1950 afternoon teas. Talks on theme of local area in wartime. Art talks history talks. Family afternoons especially in school holidays, things that keep children busy but don't break the bank.
