Review of Swansea Street Food Festival
My wife and I popped into the food festival to see what was available and at first, we saw a huge queue of people and immediately thought, this may be a mistake, as we looked around, we realised it was only the one stand with a massive queue and upon further inspection realised it was the beer stand. Luckily, my wife and I don't drink, so we gave a sigh of relief.
We tried food from a few different places; a wrap from 'Little Marakesh' (£12 each), a crispy chicken from the Thai stand (£2.50 for 2x fillets - bargain) and finally a chocolate brownie for dessert (£4.50 each).
We didn't see the need to book a table, we were happy to find a quiet open area to enjoy the grub.
Overall, it was pretty pricey, but it tasted lovely, especially the wrap from 'Little Marakesh'.
I personally felt the music was a little loud in some places, but that can be avoided by just moving to another area.
We only stayed for about 30 minutes, but loved the food. Would recommend it to anyone who fancies trying something different.

I enjoyed the new location for the venue and really enjoyed the food and music. The prices were a little on the expensive side and the portion sizes were small. Even the “challenging” bbq sharer platters were small. Great flavoursome food though! The Skiddle app was incredibly straight forward to use and I got a ticket for the venue immediately! Great app.

The queueing system was not designed adequately for the amount of people coming to the festival. Why do we have to book tickets when it is free , just another way for a company to get your E mail address for advertising. It should not have been fenced off if it is free . And you need to look at food festivals at such places as Abergavenny which is what you call a food festival , not like Swansea where you are cuing just to buy food to eat there and then . Food festivals are about the atmosphere and the watching chefs demonstrate their ability to cook so you can learn and the various local food and produce producing farms and shops and local cooks , jam and cheese and real ale , honey etc etc . It’s about the community getting to know what they can buy from their neig*bours and not have to go to the big stores .

Ticketing system useless - 2 hour wait to get in on Saturday was excessive. Food prices were extortionate and unable to purchase drinks from anywhere other than the bar, who just after opening on Sunday were only able to offer diet C**e, fruit shots or alcohol. Wasn’t impressed by the whole experience and will reconsider visiting next time.

I think the venue was a good location but felt it was crammed but considering the time you had to move due to waterlogged concern at previous site, (side of LC2). I Maybe try looking for bigger space as I found that the queues was all mixed in to one an other. Singleton park may be a good location as you have plenty of parking next door

Review of Swansea Street Food Festival
Really not great this year sadly. Was good last year (2022). Queued for almost 2hrs to get in and very little choice as a vegan. Even a vegetarian would have found it a bit difficult. Not sure we will bother in future years, unless vegan filth come back..
Music- really not our thing, which is fine, but.. awfully loud! and the worst speakers I’ve ever heard. Couldn’t really hear any singing for all the cracking.
