Situated on the Townhill Campus of Swansea Metropolitan University with magnificent views over the city and the bay through the Scots pines, Townhill Theatre has been used mostly for small student productions, rehearsals and exams. All important stuff, of course, but over the last 5 years after being refurbished and equipped with a new box office and control room, the theatre is looking to present diverse programme of professional performance alongside regular productions and showcases by the students from the Swansea Metropolitan University. In this win-win situation, the city of Swansea has another much-needed serious arts venue .
