Wilkinson Bridgwater Re opening

The Wilkinson store, situated in Angel Place Shopping Centre, will be closed on Wednesday 1st June, to undergo a makeover. The store will re-open on Thursday 2nd June with an opening ceremony, performed by Bridgwater Town FC club chairman, Alan Hurford and Bridgwater Town FC team players.

Customers visiting the Wilkinson store on re-opening day will be in for a sweet treat, with the first 100 customers through the doors of the re-vamped store being handed a free cupcake to celebrate the rebrand (9am).

Store manager, Dawson, will then present two cheques to Alan Hurford, for the Children’s Hospice South West - which provides hospice care to terminally ill children and their families from across the South West – and for the National Rheumatoid Arthritis Society (NRAS) - which provides support, information and advocacy for people with Rheumatoid Arthritis and Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis, their families, friends and carers (9:10am).

To help raise funds for Age UK, Wilkinsons’ nominated charity of the year, which provides care and support for elderly people in the community, staff members will also be hosting an in-store raffle (from 10am). Customers will be in with a chance of winning a jam packed hamper full of goodies, including gardening products and summertime essentials.
